NMRHA SIRE & DAM PROGRAM
Stallion Owners: Stallion owners donate 1 breeding which will then be sold for 1/2 the advertised stud fee (minimum $300). Private treaty arrangements or deceased stallion contracts are sold for $750. If the breeding is sold, the stallion owner is granted one Reining or Ranch Derby entry (either Open or Non Pro) (NOW TRANSFERABLE) at 1/2 the entry fee (not including late penalty) for the current year. The stallion is also eligible for the NMRHA Working Western Sire Jackpot.
NMRHA Working Western Sire Jackpot: WIN SOME MONEY! Sire Jackpot money is split between the Reining Derby and the Ranch Derby. Open to stallions whose NMRHA Sire & Dam breeding was purchased during the current year. Out of these stallions, the ones who have the highest scoring offspring in the Reining and Ranch Derbies at the current year’s Morgan Grand National would take 1st place money (50% of the Jackpot money). Sire of 2nd highest would take 2nd place money (30% of the Jackpot money). Sire of 3rd highest would take 3rd place money (20% of the Jackpot money). A stallion can be nominated fpr the jackpot once his breeding has been sold. Any money not awarded would go towards other awards.
MARE OWNERS: GET AN AMAZING STALLION BREEDING FOR HALF PRICE! GET 2 FREE DERBY ENTRIES! You may purchase a breeding for 1/2 the advertised stud fee of a donated stallion (minimum $300). Private treaty arrangements or deceased stallion contracts may be purchased for $750. Mare owners are responsible for all other expenses as per their agreement with the stallion owner (ie. Mare care, semen transport etc.) If, when the resulting foal reaches Derby eligibility age, these Derbies are still in place, this resulting foal will be considered paid up for two Derby entries! You may choose from Ranch and/or Reining Derby (either Open or Non Pro) (not including late penalty). This right stays with the foal through all ownership transfers.

AMHF Mr Courageous is the sire of the 2019 World Champion Reining Horse and the 2019 Reserve World Champion Open Ranch Riding horse, Apogee Suzanne. He also has been an extremely versatile show horse, having achieved a number of World and National Titles in park harness and western pleasure. Then at 20 and 21 years of age he competed successfully at the 2017 and 2018 Morgan World Show in ranch riding. In addition, at the same ages, he was twice Circuit Champion in open to all breed ranch riding at AQHA shows, competing against Paints, Appaloosas, and Quarter horses. His offspring, in addition to Apogee Suzanne, have demonstrated significant versatility in the show ring by winning World and National titles in English dressage, western pleasure, English pleasure, hunt seat and park harness. Other offspring that were not destined for the show ring have performed very well as trail and pack horses in the Colorado mountains.
He is a beautiful bay, 14.3 hands, with a classic Morgan head, large soft eyes and small tipped in ears. He has excellent extension of all gaits, especially extended trot and is very smooth to ride. He is very people oriented and has been the essence of cooperation to work with over the years. This is the horse we put grandchildren and beginners on because of his calm and gentle demeanor. Trainers that have worked with his offspring often comment that they are very easy/cooperative horses to train with smooth gaits. Basically, he is beautiful as well as functional and seems to transfer these qualities to his get.

The summer of 2021 we went to every reining show in Montana. We were the only Morgan horse there. Then in October of 2021 we headed to OKC and our first Grand National and World Championship show.

Canadian bred and dual registered, DM Teacher’s Top Mark hails from the notable and highly successful sport stallion, Petanio Arr Pride. Mark is registered black and is out of the dam that was a foundation mare for the Baptiste line. His 2019 foals are out of Trebles Willy Wild and Tug Hill Commando bred mares and are showing extreme promise for ranch, reining and dressage or hunter. Both filly and colt have big, ground covering strides with solid, correct conformation. He has stamped tiny, shapely ears, large eyes, pretty necks, correct shoulders and strong hind quarters on all of his foals.
Mark is smaller in stature at 14.3 and was initially shown in reining in Canada. Both 2019 foals have surpassed that height and have been a dream to work, with an excellent work ethic and sound minds. His 2021 filly is a bright red chestnut out of a foundation bred mare. She is stout and confident and most likely heading toward combined driving. Mark is the most sensible stallion on the farm, where we also utilize him as a teaser in a barnful of Morgan and Thoroughbred broodmares. He is always professional in whatever job he is asked to do and his foals have the same personality.
